Each month, Macaroni KID Modesto loves to spotlight an incredible local mom who is making a difference in our community. This March, we are honored to feature Dominique Ramirez, a mom whose story is one of faith, resilience, and finding beauty through life’s most meaningful moments.
Meet Dominique Ramirez
For Dominique, photography became much more than a hobby — it became part of her healing journey.
Dominique began her photography journey after the heartbreaking loss of her daughter in 2017. What started as a way to process grief and find healing slowly grew into a passion and a calling. Through photography, she discovered a way to capture the beauty that still exists in everyday life.
As a Christian and a homeschooling mom, Dominique says her faith and family are at the center of everything she does. Through her lens, she loves capturing genuine smiles, meaningful moments, and the beauty of God’s creation.
“Photography allows me to capture the beauty of God’s creation and the genuine smiles that make life so special. Each photo is more than just an image to me—it’s a reminder of the blessings in everyday life and the stories that deserve to be remembered.”
Life at Home
Life in Dominique’s home is full of love, laughter, and activity. Her family of eight ranges from adult children to a baby, which keeps every day busy, hectic, and fun.
Dominique has been homeschooling for more than 10 years, creating a learning environment rooted in faith, family values, and real-life experiences.
When the family isn’t homeschooling, they enjoy spending time outdoors — especially fishing together. Being outside and enjoying nature is one of their favorite ways to connect as a family.
Faith is also a huge part of their lives. Dominique and her family have been attending Mountain View Baptist Church since 2013 and love staying involved in their church community.

Through her business, Moment Maker Photography, Dominique works to preserve meaningful moments for families in our community. Whether it's capturing joyful milestones or everyday smiles, her goal is to celebrate love and reflect the beauty and joy that God places all around us.
